Membrane Separation

Membrane technology for gas separation

At UGS, we are proud to offer advanced membrane technology for gas separation, designed to meet the evolving needs of the industry. Our membranes exhibit high selectivity and permeability, leveraging the latest advances in materials science to ensure optimal performance.

CO2 Removal from Biogas

A state-of-the-art membrane system is used to remove CO2 from the biogas stream. The separation process takes place when biogas flows through the hollow fibers of the membrane modules. Components such as CO2, which permeate quickly, move to the shell side of the membrane module. Meanwhile, most of the slow-permeating CH4 remains in the hollow fiber at high pressure. At the end of the membrane module, the highly concentrated CH4 stream is collected and made available for further use at approximately 12 barg pressure.
