TECHNOLOGIES
In the pressure swing adsorption system designed by UGS, pressurized gas flows through the adsorbent vessel. Highly adsorbing components are adsorbed in an adsorption media under pressure, while less adsorbing components are concentrated at the outlet of the adsorption vessel.
Applied to biogas upgrading, CO2 is adsorbed in the media, while CH4 is rejected and concentrated at the outlet of the vessel, producing Biomethane. After saturation of the media, CO2 is desorbed again by reducing the pressure in the vessel down to below 100 mbara, regenerating the media for a new adsorption cycle.
Combined with our expertise in process design and system manufacturing, we deliver high-performance solutions in applications such as hydrogen recovery, nitrogen production, and carbon dioxide removal. Our scalable and customizable membrane systems provide cost-effective and energy-efficient solutions across various industries.
